Directions Annapolis, the capital city of Maryland, is located on the Severn River and is also the home of the U.S. Naval Academy. Annapolis is equidistant (about a one hour journey from either) between Washington D.C. and Baltimore on the East Coast of the United States. RCN Associates, Inc. is located on a peninsula on the southern bank of the Severn where it meets the Chesapeake Bay, the worlds largest estuary.
From DC, Northern Virginia, or Montgomery County, MarylandCome through DC (can come right up Rt.50), or around on the beltway (495), until the Rt. 50 East – Annapolis exit. Take Rt.50 about 20 miles until exit 22 – Aris T. Allen Blvd. Exit and stay straight for 4 -5 miles. The road will change names to Forest Drive, Bay Ridge Rd, and Farragut Ave, but make no turns.
When you hit the water you are on the Bay Ridge peninsula, turn left on Bay Drive, around left to River drive. Take that around to the end then left on Sands Av. and left on East Lake Drive. We are at #36. A tan house with a circular driveway on the right. Park in the driveway. Use main entrance via stairs.
From Baltimore or BWI airport (Closest Airport)Take Rt.97 south toward Annapolis about 20 miles. Where 97 meet Rt.50 East, stay to the right on immediately off onto Aris T. Allen Blvd. Then as underlined above.
From National Airport Stay straight to go onto AIRPORT EXIT. Take the ramp toward GW PARKWAY NORTH. Merge onto GEORGE WASHINGTON MEMORIAL PKWY N/GW PKWY N. Merge onto I-395 N toward WASHINGTON. Merge onto I-295 S via the exit- on the left. Take SOUTHEAST FRWY toward PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE. Take the PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE exit. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto PENNSYLVANIA AVE SE/JOHN PHILIP SOUSA BRIDGE. Continue to follow PENNSYLVANIA AVE SE. Turn LEFT onto FAIRLAWN AVE SE. Merge onto DC-295 N. Merge onto US-50 E toward ANNAPOLIS. Take the MD-665/ARIS T ALLEN BLVD exit- exit number 22- toward RIVA RD. Then as underlined above.
From Dulles Airport Take the Dulles Access Road east toward Washington DC, take Capital Beltway Route 495 North to Rockville/Baltimore. Travel about 20 miles until exit fro Route 50 East - Annapolis. Then follow the underlined instructions above.
From Downtown Annapolis or the Naval AcademyFrom Gate 1 of the Academy go left and past the marketplace to Market Circle. Go half-way around circle onto Compromise Street. Go over the Eastport Bridge and make a right at the second light (Bay Ridge Rd.). Follow that past the small shopping center up to the lighted intersection with Forest Drive (two gases stations – Crown & Exxon). Make a left. The road will change names to Forest Drive, Bay Ridge Rd, and Farragut Ave, but make no turns. When you hit the water you are on the Bay Ridge peninsula, turn left on Bay Drive, around left to River drive. Take that around to the end then left on Sands Av. and left on East Lake Drive. By BoatFour miles below the Bay Bridge on the west side of the Chesapeake is the Severn River. At the River, head for the southern shore at the mouth. The first inlet is a marked channel (large white house on east side of channel). Enter the inlet to Lake Olgeton. Turn left and drive down the left side of the cove. Three-quarters of the way down, there is a piling marked #36. Houseboat named “Happy Ours” in the end slip. A tan house, treed lot with a fence on the right side is what to look for. Dock up and come ashore. The dog’s name is Buddy. Say Hi and he'll be friendly.
